1. Add Your Custom Domain in Roo.bz
1. From your Roo.bz dashboard, click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select Settings.
2. In the left-hand menu, click the Custom Domains tab.
3. Click the Add Domain to get started button.

4. In the Custom Domain field, enter the subdomain you want to use, for example, "l.davidzisner.pro".
5. Click Next. Roo.bz will generate the DNS records you need.

2. Configure DNS Records in cPanel
1. In a new browser tab, navigate to your domain's cPanel and open the Zone Editor.
2. From your Roo.bz tab, copy the Name of the first CNAME record.
3. In cPanel, find your domain and click + CNAME Record.

4. Paste the copied value into the name field.
5. Return to Roo.bz and copy the Value for the first record.
6. Paste the value into the CNAME field in cPanel and click Add a CNAME Record.
7. Repeat steps 2-6 for the second CNAME record provided by Roo.bz.
Note: Hosting providers may format CNAME names differently. Some may require you to remove the domain part (e.g., davidzisner.pro) or the trailing dot from the name.
3. Verify Your Domain in Roo.bz
1. Return to the Roo.bz "Connect your domain" page and click Verify.
2. You will be taken to a page confirming that verification is in progress. Click View your domains.
3. Your domain will be listed with a "Verification Pending" status.

4. You will receive an email from support@roo.bz once the verification is complete.

5. After receiving the email, refresh the Custom Domains page in Roo.bz. The status will change to "Verified".

Note: DNS propagation can sometimes take up to 24 hours.
4. Use Your Custom Domain in Make.com
1. In your Make.com scenario, open the settings for your Roo "Create URL" module.
2. Click the Domain dropdown and select your newly verified custom domain.

3. Click Save and run the module to generate a branded short link.

4. To create a link with a specific path, enter your desired text in the Custom Slug field, for example, "search".

5. To avoid errors if a custom slug is already taken, set the Alternative Slug dropdown to "Yes". This will automatically generate a random slug if your preferred one is unavailable.

Troubleshooting: If you receive a "[400] Slug already in use" error, it means that slug has already been used for your domain. Enable the Alternative Slug option to prevent the automation from failing.
