Can I try Roo for free?
Yes! The Hop plan is completely free and includes 200 shortlinks per month, API access, 1 custom domain, and 50 addon activations for webhooks, scheduled redirects, and smart redirects.
What happens if I exceed my shortlink limit?
On paid plans, you can create extra links at a per-link cost (as low as 0.5¢/link on the Spring plan). On the free Hop plan, you'll need to wait for the next month or upgrade.
Do links expire?
On the free Hop plan, links expire after 90 days (with 20 permanent links). On all paid plans (Skip, Leap, Spring, Enterprise), links never expire.
What are addon activations?
Addon activations are uses of Roo's advanced features: webhooks (click notifications), scheduled redirects (time-based routing), and smart redirects (click-count-based routing). The Hop plan includes 50 lifetime activations, Skip includes 1,000/month, and Leap and above are unlimited.
Can I use my own domain on any plan?
Yes, every plan — including the free Hop plan — includes at least 1 custom domain. The Enterprise plan supports up to 10 custom domains.
What is Dynamic Querystring Metadata?
Dynamic Querystring Metadata lets you append parameters to your shortlink (e.g., ?source=email) and Roo will automatically pass them to both the destination URL and any configured webhooks. Available on Spring and Enterprise plans.
